I got to my stand this evening around 5pm and looked up only to see it had disappeared. So I set up the double bull and had no success. Anyway, as I'm leaving I see this truck parked on the private land... the guy comes over and starts talking to me. Turns out the landowner has let this guy hunt her place for years but he's new to bowhunting and only comes out a couple times a season. Turns out the old rickety stand that I had taken down was his (the land owner told me there shouldn't be any other stands out there) and he took mine down thinking that someone had snuck on from the public land. So, I got my stand back, and met a pretty cool guy and a guy that wants to learn about bowhunting. So as fuming as I was for a while, it really worked out pretty well. He was so nice I almost felt bad for being mad. So that made up for the lack of deer.
