After work this fine evening I decided to hit up an area where a 2.5 year old 8 with a kicker on his right main beam had shed one side a couple days before Christmas last shed season.

To my surprise I was able to witness and capture him on camera tonight feeding about 1/2 a mile from where his shed was found last season in a buck bedroom.

And MY did he put on the inches! Incredible!

At 2.5 yrs (last season) he would have pushed 115". Which is a really nice 2 yr old! At 3.5 (this winter) he'll push 145"!

    Here's some photo opps. Enjoy!

His shed from last year found on December 22nd!

The buck in question. A noticeable G-3.. and long right side main beam with the sticker.

A close up of the exact antler in question. Wow did he grow!

Without question. But he's certainly a strange buck.

I've seen this buck about half a dozen times over the past 2 years. ALWAYS with the same group of does.. never seen any buck do this.. or heard of it even.

    Think I'll call him Casanova.:d

Saw 7 bucks today in a group all carrying yet. Did find a 60 inch 4 pt in the same area today but it is still slow here. We are up to 7 sheds. Looks like the big drop is still a bit away. The deer look to be in great shape.

I seen this once back in 2003 I had this 10 point and everytime I saw him from the begining of September until I shot him in November he was with a doe and 2 fawns. I seen him 5 times in all.

Without question. But he's certainly a strange buck.

Saw two bucks today. One a half rack (small) and a really nice 8-point about 140".
He's untouchable though he lives in the forest preserves.
