I listened to it work and it was loud in there so I might have missed something. But didn't it say in the article he had a cane as well?

Just reread it. He had a shoehorn, a 1' knife and a shoehorn.

Would really like to know the rest of the story with the paramedics, I know here in Ohio there is several things that mandate a hospital visit if EMS makes contact with somebody, and a lot of the time it requires law enforcement to intervene.

Too bad that it went down like that but I am sure the cops gave him plenty of chances to just put down the weapons but you won't hear about that part. Instead here comes another one of these horrible cop stories. The cops used a non-lethal weapon to subdue a man with a deadly weapon...pretty cut and dry but it is too bad that the man died. The next article will be the family sues the officer for their loss. "Merica.

Your right but tasering a 95 year old guy twice because he doesn't want to go to the hospital? That could be any of our grandfathers or great grandfathers.

I'm guessing they were both white or both black, haven't heard the racist angle used yet.

It only says they tased him once and then used bean bags....but in the end it will be very interesting on why he was being sent to a hospital if that even comes out. He was in a care facility/community already and from the sounds of it and they were having him sent to the hospital...but who knows. One person in the video says they should have out smarted him...the current story says that he was in his room which I am sure is small with one way in and a window if that room is several floors up that window is of no use now and leaves you one option charge a man with a knife..or use non-lethal methods and stay out of harms way.
