So i just noticed there are 843 members on this website now, How long before it hit's 1,000? Think it will happen before the year mark (July 23rd-ish i believe?)? (for reference, that other site has around 128,000)
We didn't go live until around late August (I think it was)... Before that it was just a few guys (30ish) testing the place out
I'd estimate August 15th folks will start thinking of the upcoming deer season by then. I'm working the Big Buck Rendevouis Sept 19th and 20th...if I had some stickers to hand out. I could help that membership grow
And you gotta realize how many out of that 128,000 haven't been to that site in years... Heck, it was a rare day when I saw a poster with an id # under 10,000...
My computer is telling me there are only 841 members registerd...Anyway, once it is August and it is closer to hunting season, there will be over 1,000.
ya know what, I'm pretty content with the small family like atmosphere about this place... I'd hate for it to turn into something like AT...
I'm taking my bowhunter ed instructor course on the 27th. When I start teaching classes I'll be wearing my Bowhunting.com hat.
I like the smaller atmosphere here as well. Although, I know that more members means more traffic for the site and hopefully more business for them.
I, for one, can't wait for this site to get uber popular, with 50,000 members, and then I can use my early join date as validation that my posts are, in fact, more important than all the noobs.
smaller atmosphere is better, heck this is all i know, but i love it and if we want it to grow the RIGHT way just keep meeting folks and letting them know bout the site!
