80 lb bow ?

    Depends on the bow as well. My Quest pulls easier at 72lbs than my old reflex did at 59lbs. I would look at the 80lbs bows to shoot heavier arrows. Definitely would like the extra weight for hogs.

    For what it's worth, I work with a guy that's 62 and he still hunts elk with a 70lb takedown recurve. No shoulder issues.

    I saw the Pigman a few weeks ago on TV and he was shooting a 90 # Anarchy. Last week he was shooting a 77# Carnage. I think he use to shoot a Quest. I guess Bear co. gave him more money. He didn't look like he strained too much pulling back the 90# but then that boy looks like he has been eating a lot of pork chops. :D

    Think cold muscles, cold days and and 15 minutes of watching and nervously waiting for a buck just out of range. Its one thing to pull it back when your are warm... a completely different thing under hunting conditions. Listen to Bruce.
