Did you measure that buck? I was looking at it and think it might go over 50. Worth a shot if you have the time. Points aren't everything, but this contest is close for now. Just curious

From the contest moderator. Please read

For the love of God folks, read the rules! TWO PICS of you, the deer and the bow (in the same pic, of course) and the DATE and TIME of the kill. I'm astounded at the number of folks who have been participating in the contest for years who aren't doing this.

Also, if I ask you for missing pics or missing info that is required by the rules, please be courteous enough to send me a message and let me know you've added the needed info when you do it. I don't have a running list of folks who are missing required pics/info so if you don't let me know it may be a long time before I dig back through and see that you added it.

I do try to remember who is/was missing pics/info and go back to check but the bigger the scorecard thread gets the more difficult it is to keep track of them all.

I try hard to stay on top of the scorecard and keep it updated, but I kind of like to hunt too so please try to meet me in the middle and make it a little easier on me.

Poor LC. Ain’t no way I’d be able to do that scorecard

Sounds like they to simplify it a bit more if it's just for fun!

I don't really understand the point of a date and time...there's no point in my opinion...I always got a kick out of the 2 picture rule too that doesn't make sense either isn't one picture good enough? I mean this is just for fun and the person running the show is having a difficult time managing because of all these rules just mind blowing...its not like you win a 4 wheeler or bows I been on a few teams over the years when we won you get some stickers and maybe a hat and of course bragging rights in which I'd all nice but making a big deal about the rules is just confusing!

Yeah I get that, but 2pics, date and time are all ya gotta worry about. Most folks know that when signing up and every year people either forget something or don't bother to read the rules or even ask their team. One guy has to keep that straight on the score card and some members usually try to police their team just to help out. Captains are part of that. Anyway, just try to keep things straight. The rules are the rules, so we play along.

I have a couple of stealth cams cellular. They are pretty easy to set up and easy to use with the app. Picture quality to your app isn't super great, but definitely good enough. Of course you can pull the card and have great quality pics.

Did you have specific things you're wondering about, or just general?

One thing to consider is if you download video or HD pics to view there is a charge. 5 cents for HD pics and 25 cents for video. Other than that pretty easy and straight forward. Just understand the monthly fees and different options. I do 5 bucks a month and never come close to going over the limit at that price.

I'm ready for some more tree stand therapy fellas. Gonna try to target a doe this Thursday. Good odds I'll get one in range, just have to execute a shot on one. I think we have at least one team member hitting it hard this week in Missouri. We are in good shape in the contest. Need a couple does and sprinkle in some bucks! It's that time.

    Anybody have plans coming up?

I just finally got moved into my parents new house. I’m gonna be out a lot starting tomorrow or Wednesday. I think I still have a good chance to get a descent buck. I’d be happy with a 3 1/2 year old. Don’t know how much one will score that I shoot, but it’ll help

Shoot whatever makes you happy man. Honestly, I've had to take my mind out of the contest when it comes to hunting. It is a very personal thing. We do the contest for fun while we do what we love to do, so keep that in mind. Hunt. Kill. Post to the score card and don't worry about anything else. Been fun having you on the team, BTW. I hope you have a good season.

Chance of snow this weekend. Big temp drop. I have been seeing groups of does. But no bucks while driving for work. Hopefully this temp drop will get something moving

I’ve been in the stand quite a bit. Last weekend and tonight have been with a muzzleloader and 30-30. I hit it hard with my bow last week before our gun season opened.

I likely won’t get out with my bow until next week or the week after once the craziness of gun season is done with.

Almost had my 2nd buck this year tonight but I had my 30-30. He was real nice. Going in after him once more tomorrow morning before the big front with wind/rain/snow moves in the next 3 days.
