If it was me I would face the woods then. It allows to attack the area that your wind isn’t blowing to. If you are facing the field and the wind swirled while they are coming from behind you may never get a shot. If you are facing the woods you may pick them off before that happens. The best weeks of the entire season are ahead of us boys! Lets goo! Frost the next 3 days. Moved most of my cameras to rut areas. It was 84 degrees here today. I refuse to shoot something when it's this warm. It's just not worth it
Sat tonight I let my son pick the spot. Wind was in the wrong direction for the stand. But about 15 mins before last shooting we seen a nice 10 pointer. He checked a scrape and then went into a bean field. It was really windy and rainy so I tried a stalk. I got with in 50 yards. But no dice.
