I don't think you got what I was saying. What I meant was that every deer someone kills should be a trophy no matter the size. I know a guy that won't kill a deer unless he thinks it's a "trophy" 140 class or bigger buck. I'm glad he was proud enough of his buck to get a mount and post him on this forum even if he's not a 140"+ buck. I didn't mean anything bad by it.
MissionBlaeze, I completely get what you are saying, I also shot an 80" 9 point this past season as well. Both of my bucks I had mounted, trophy`s to me, as I said they are like 150`s to someone else!!Thanks for the kind words.
I know you didn't mean anything bad about it. You will learn over time that everyone hunts for different reasons and many (like myself) go through different phazes as far as want they want out of hunting. I killed plenty of smaller bucks when I was younger and it is no longer something that interests me. I'm more like that guy you know who is looking for 140 class bucks. But, the great thing about hunting is everyone can decide for themself what they want out of it.
I understand what you are saying as well. We all hunt for different reasons, I`m so proud of my 2 bucks from this past season, both are on my wall! Now, this upcoming season I set my goals higher, hopefully a 120 or better!! God Bless.
