John has an uphill battle either way, the northerners left little room for doubt that they do not want another southern ruler. The fact that he's half Stark and half Targaryen and the north's already chosen king should give him quite a bit of leverage. I just wish the writers would take Maester Aemon's advice and let John kill the boy and let the man be born in full. They keep handicapping him through his questionable decisions rather then letting him be the powerful badass he should be granted his lineage. Constantly being gifted Deus Ex Machinas gets kind of old, I'd prefer to see an overpowered protagonist succeed through their own prowess and cunning than eeking out wins by default. Don't get me wrong, I love the show...I just think the writing has left a lot of potential on the table in regards to John. He's kind of like a slow song that you think is going to pick up tempo but never quite gets there, lol.
I thought it was interesting when Gilly was talking about Rhaegnar's marriage annulment and how he married some other chick. This could potentially mean Jon is the true king if Rhaegnar and Lyanna were married. Dany wont like that too much. She will be the one bending the knee.
There is no potential about it... it's as good as fact Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
How will Jon and Dany ever come to know this info though I wonder? Unless Sam shows up with the scrolls.
I think Jon already knows after petting his dragon... I am betting there is a scene where everything is torched and he comes out unscathed ... and obviously Tarley has the history scroll where it talks about his legitimacy Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Seems 99% cut and dried that John is the true heir to the Iron Throne as a legit Targaryen. They have all they need to confirm it if the pieces all come together. Bran's insight to the past will bring it to light, Sam's history book from the maester and Howland Reed are the hard evidence and witness. John's marriage to Daenerys would doubly legitimize it and solve any issues Danerys may have abdicating her claim. Would make me happy if we got a "happily ever after" but Martin won't let it go at that so it worries me how it'll all end up.
I'm curious what will happen now that the Tarley's got roasted. Does that make Sam heir to House Tarley?
I would think so. Wonder how he will take it when he finds out his dad and bro got torched. Doesn't seem like his dad was all that nice to him anyway.
I...think so? I can't remember if he had another sibling, but I know his father basically disowned him. God I love how the story is playing out so far.
So...a 3rd party provider (prolly Little Finger) in Spain accidentally released ep. 6 for a few hours. It was downloaded and leaked on the interwebs. FYI for those who...just...can't....wait. I'll watch Sunday, thank you.
I really want to look for it, but I think I'm going to hold off until Sunday. There's just something special about Sunday night GoT and underwear lounging.
No, I'm a farmer. Been raining here most all day. Got some food plot management stuff done this morning and came in for a late lunch and got stuck in the house the rest of the afternoon.
