Its hard to beat the weather we are having today. My little one and I decided to load the boat up.

This kid always has a ball out on the water. We even caught a bunch of these green fish.

Nothing of any size but I'll take a bunch of small ones any day. I love me some bass fishing.

Still have last years flip flop tan. While you guys up north are still cold, we are fishing barefoot.

Has anyone else got out yet?

On the bright side nobody needs boats to fish right now. You just drive your pickup truck where ever you want to fish.

Another plus is your grass doesn't need mowing yet. I am a week or two away from having to cut mine.

Can't say I've ever done that. I think I'll just stick with wearing shorts fishing vs coveralls.

Yes very true. I won't be swapping the snowblower for the lawn mower for a month yet.

We got 6-10" of snow yesterday. Can't wait for some open water. In the meantime I'll just keep slaying the perch

We do not have those down here. What do you catch them on? I'm guessing they are good eating?

 No perch??? I feel bad for you! They are my #1 favorite fish to eat. For ice fishing we catch them on 1.5 - 2" minnows we buy at the bait shop.

We have many types of Brim that we call Perch. But no Perch like that. Crappie and catfish are the main two I love to eat.
