Funny now that the scent peddlers that now make synthetic scents now say that the new product is so superior to the stuff they used to sell that they swore was the best made.

This year was the best year I ever had as far as seeing deer. I put out Special golden estrus a few times and never saw a deer. Think i'll save my money.

I am not denying that scents can work some times, usually not with mature deer but that is a different topic. When you are a company that sold a urine based scent for years and told us how great their product is and how superior it is, then you develop a synthetic and claim that your product doesn't break down like all urine based scents, it is telling to people that use critical thinking in their purchases.

I've heard rebranding makes the scents 10x more effective.

It's all about the label. In some aspects it's like camo. The busier, prettier picture is better.................to the person buying it, not the deer.
Look at Sitka and Predator They aren't the "best" looking to people but then again we need to remember that we aren't hunting people.

So much un-education and mis-information in regards to scent usage out there. If only hunters would use a bit of common sense (not scents) when using them. I gave up on deer pee years ago and have been trying to get many on this site to try a pre-orbital type of scent. Many of my mock scrapes have started out with only this scent on an over-hanging branch, have turned into community scrapes. One application and multiple deer do the rest.
