Howdy from Texas. Pig number 36 had a bad day last weekend. I have been reviewing and testing monolithic, single bevel, COC, tanto tipped broadheads from 125 to 600 grains this year. Because pigs are GREAT test material. The Bishop 600 grain Dangerous Game broadhead went through this pig like he was ice cream. Its an extravaganza! 1. Tuning, tips, night hunting set up (if you ever go pig hunting), etc. 2. Spongebob. 3. Pig Kill and overview of performance (yes, Single Bevels rotate!) Thank to the following companies for making this fun: www.bishoparchery.com www.lumenok.com www.ezvsight.com Click here and come back to comment!! Love to hear what you think.
A lot of people haven't had the opportunity to see a single bevel in action or understand the physics imparted by the tissue pushing against the bevel"s". The results in my video show a 1/4 rotation through that pig. Just proof of concept. I love single bevels. From a pure performance, in real situations, through very durable material they just continue to perform. I've cut the shoulder blade clean off a pig this year (Tuffhead 190) and my nephew blasted full lengths through a pig shoulder, cut 2 ribs off a the spine and passed through. It's awesome.
This is gonna be kind of spammy. But what the heck? I do this to help people and make no money - just love playing with different stuff. Here's the video with my nephew. Lots of info. If you're interested in the bone breaking autopsy, fast forward till you see meat.
