I have a question. My son who is 6 wants his first bow. He writes left handed but plays baseball as a right hander. He is right eye dominant I believe how do I know for sure what bow to look for? I gave him a old bow and he natuarally tried pulling it back left handed. Should I just go with a left handed bow? Probably picking up a genesis if it is not to much for him.

I hear that eye dominance is top priority...
Of course this is coming from a right handed shooter that's left eye dominant:D

Seriously though, go with the eye.

I'd go to an archery shop and let (make) him shoot a left and right handed bow. Watch him shoot and see how it goes. You could look at a grouping depending how experienced he is and how sighted in it is. Check into diamond the rock, will last a lifetime!

Go with eye dominance. I'm really right handed but shoot left handed because I'm left eye dominate.

Besides, shopping for left handed bows and accessories sucks. :(

Sorry, I meant I'd look at the Diamond Razor Edge. Great bow.

If he's right eye dominant and throwing a ball right handed I would get him a right handed Bow, good luck choach.

Any coach worth their salt will teach him to shoot to his dominant eye. Bow or gun.

Get him started in a right handed bow early. It's to his dominant eye and any lefty will tell ya, it's harder to get left handed bows.

Yep, go with the eye thing Ron. It's hard enough teaching a youngen when getting started the way It Is.

I went through the same thing with my son. He does everything left handed but he shoots both gun and bow right handed due to eye dominance. Its good to know this at a young age, makes it easier for them to adjust.
