Less than a foot to go before the water goes over the top of the dam for the lake. If you're adventurous enough you can go white water rafting until the rain subsides.

Ya we have been getting pounded here as well last couple days. After such a awful drought last year I told myself I would not complain about the rain for awhile. Except that is gettin harder an harder to do as I'm tryin to keep the basement from flooding

Been pretty wet here lately.... I'm not complaining, first time in a year that my pond has been full and my once dry creek is now running again!:nana:

MIlwaukee is getting its fair share of rain....I've seen some ponds that are as high as I've ever seen them... They say the Fox River south of Milwaukee will be overflowing soon.

Yesterday we ended up with a foot of rain. Tonight on the way home sleet and then snow. Lake rose 6 feet overnight. 1 more inch and it'll be over the emergency spillway. 18" more and over the top of the dam.

The field next to our house is the most flooded I've ever seen it. But we didn't get pounded as bad as chicagoland it seems. I'm up here right now and there are oodles of road closures, flooded homes and such. Not enough to actually wash the mess that is Chicago out to sea... but darn close. ;) You would definitely drown if you drove into a lot of the ditches along the highway up here.
