I built 2 dozen 5mm FMJ, cut them to length and installed the inserts. Screwed in FP and paper tuned. Played around with some Stingers. This morning I decided to try out the ViperTricks. Unscrewed the Stingers and low and behold, the ViperTricks wounding screw in. After cussing and messing around, I got the calipers out. The ferrel is about a 1/4” shorter than the points and Stingers. Crud. My only solution is to cut about 3/8” off the arrows. Anyone else run into this issue?

    5mm ? So HIT inserts ?

If that’s the case yes you can cut a bit off the front on the shaft. I have seen this several times where the inserts seat very deep. The way I get around that is I put two small washers over the tool when I set the insert to allow for short threads.
