At the end of this year I will be looking for a new bow. I will be replacing my 10 yr old Darton Maverick. I am wanting to know what I can get in the 500.00 range for the bare bow.
My arrows are 26" and I shoot 55 pounds. I use a loop with a release. I hunt out of a tree suit.
    I want a quiet bow.

Honestly for $500 you can get a heck of a used bow... definitely what I would do...

The Hoyt TurboHawk sells for around $550 but........Hoyt is giving a 50 bone rebate on it as well. Same limbs and cams as the AlphaMax, same IBO rating and shoots really good.

Dubbya is right though........You can indeed get a heck of a used bow for that as well.

If I wanted a quiet Bow, for the price your talking, you could get a really nice Mohawk Longbow that is as quiet as a church mouse! lol.

For 500 bucks you can get a top line bow slightly used...sometimes even leftovers that are brand new. Good luck to ya.

I am going to also give a shout out to the Hoyt TurboHawk. It is most likely the best bow available at that price.

I would buy a top of the line used bow for that before I would buy a new bow for that. Go to AT classifieds...I have bought, sold, and traded for many there.
