Ok so I've proved 1 wrong I hunted the same tree 90 days straight almost and seen buck after buck and doe none seemed to care I was there every day being I took all hunting season off to hunt every day in this one tree no matter the wind or anything I tried it out last season and they didn't seem to care I was there every day shot my biggest buck to date and a 300lb doe so i font know .Also we can't take practice shots on public land out here in illinois its against the law so no need to carry a target that's one more thing to take up room. Not bashing or talking crap just putting my 2 cents out there and what I've seen. I shot a 14 point non typical on public last season with the wind blowing in his face and all out of the same tree only thing I think that might of helped is being heavily sprayed with dead down wind but that's it. It's the only tree in 1500 acres of crp that's why I hunted it so much there's no other trees but this little one and all the deer seen to walk right by it so I figured out how to hang in it and stayed all season no matter the wind id post a pic if I could to show you It's all grass besides one lonely tree in almost 2000 acres but that's how our public is its all prairie land and crp not hard woods here were I'm at in North West illinois
