5 gal bucket question

Hi all.. I am thinking of making a deer feeder out of a 5 gallon bucket with a stick in the middle.. Has anyone have good luck with this?

 

I have never done one like that but I have a couple made out of 15gal food grade containers. Cut a hole in the bottom with a hole saw and strap to a tree.... They make a pretty good gravity feeder for <$5

 

My Dads buddy made this style bump feeder with 5 gallon bucket
For hunting or for viewing deer

I should add that he does have success with this style feeder as well.

 

The only way o could get the deer in my area top use my feeder was top put pb on the stick
