#5,000...heading to Canada*UPDATED WITH PICTURES* UPDATED: PICTURES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND ON PAGE TWO. Ah, post #5,000 (nothing compared to some of you guys). In celebration, I'm heading to Canada in the morning for 5 days of this: This: This: And this: Play nice, now.
You see...that's where you went astray. You aren't supposed to be trying to catch bass. You should be after the greatest tasting fresh water fish going... next to a native brookie of course. That's the walleye. Yummy in the tummy. From cold water Ca adian lakes.... they're superb. And you dare to post a picture of a smallmouth??? Not good. Here's Heaven on the water. Tough fishing.... but if you have your **** together... you'll have fun. http://island10.com/ Bass .. really???? We caught tons of bass and norhterns this year.... but really... you go to Canada for walleyes.
I disagree. Bluegills win top honors. I've eaten about all northern fish there are and dont think that much of Walleye.
Well, we got back yesterday evening. Weather was hot, water temps were low, and fishing was decent. My wife and I had a very relaxing trip, and while these pictures are not Vito quality, I did my best. Most of my bass (mostly largemouth, some smallies mixed in) were in about 15-20ft of water in weed/rock shoal transitions. All bass were caught on 5" Green Pumpkin Senko's. I was fishing by myself some, and with my wife other times while she did continuing education work (hence the lack of pictures). I did manage to get quite a few scenic photos, however. Enjoy. First evening on the lake. View from the shore of my parent's cottage: Another shot: Morning on the water: View of our neighbors dock and boat lift: The power for the week: A little slower form or transportation, but my wife used it numerous times: Shot from the dock one morning: Shot of the deck along the lake: My favorite shot of the trip. This was a great spot to sit in the morning: The boat loaded and ready. Notice how low the water is. My parent's waterfront is relatively shallow to begin with (hence the duck channel markers), but this time I had to come in and out with the trolling motor): View from the boat: Up front:
Just for Vito (and so you believe I actually fished): Nothing large (most about 12"-17"). And a few pictures from the Kayak rides: Some gorgeous places on this lake: Came upon a floating planter. Can't say I've seen this before. Cottage at the end of the lane that my parents cottage is on. Can't see the home, but it's a $1 million + home.
Hope you had fun but you can have the Canadian PBR. I won't even drink that stuff in Sunday. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
