I think as someone who loves to mix Red Bull/Vodka and or No Fear/Vodka, I should have thought of it.
So what the hell is this stuff? Every college/high school kid I know is always talking about "Dude....4lokos is like...crazy...I got so f***** last night, bruh!" Is it just a cheaper, crappier, pre-mixed version of Red Bull and vodka? I mostly stick to my snob beer these days since I'm now an old, married man. Enlighten me, youngin'.
Its a mixture of caffeinated malt energy drink and booze. 12% to be correct. Equivalent to drinking 3 cups of coffee and 4 beers per 1 can of Loko, or something like that. Basically an upper (caffeine, Taurine, Guarana) and a downer (alcohol) together. Drinkers experience a "blackout" if they drink it too fast. If a 225lb man drinks 1 can in an hour hes already double over the legal limit...according to CNN (not sure how true that is). Honestly, ive only drank them once. And i overdid it, and i honestly do not remember anything that happened. And as the guys who have been to the G2G's know...i usually don't drink myself to oblivion...i keep it cool. They were banned as is today, and can go back on the market after they remove the caffeine, taurine, guarana and Red 40. There actually quite popular with the party crowd around here.
I have tried them. The feeling you get is just about like that of other drinks that are mixed with energy drinks. They seem to take it to another level though. Either way, they are not safe. Mixing things like taurine with alcohol can really shock your body. But.....they are fun..
I guess I am an old man at 31, but I remember the days when we just tried to wreck ourselves with as much tequilla and whatever else they had around. Nothing but alcohol and a hangover. The times we are in now require a "hip" mixture for anything...Hell even the crackheads back in the day just smoked crack, now they gotta mix it up with some bleach, drano and anything else under the sink and call it meth. I am serious about the liquor as we tried to drink all they made, but the drug abuse was just a joke as not to offend anyone at all...
All the girls around here drink them, I don't know why since they drink 2 beers and they are hammered anyways. I will just stick to my cheaply made, 6.0 beer

Amen brother, I don't sip the sauce anymore, but man you ain't lying. That is how the night should be spent, sipping on something that will start a car, but at the same time taste like kool aid. Man I miss my grandfathers corn liquor.
I kind of agree. Please go back to talking down to others. I enjoyed it. Bring the snob attitude back to match the snob beer. What beer are you liking these days? I enjoy snob beer. Always looking to try a new one.
