Hey all, new comer to the forums here. I've been pretty impressed with all the info I have learned in the few weeks been checking in here so I thought I would throw a question at you.

Just bought a z7x this past weekend and while I was looking at arrows I got into a discussion with the shop owner about fletching. I'm shooting with a biscuit rest and the owner suggested I use arrows fletched with 4 vanes in a 3 in. low profile rather than going with 3 vanes of 2 in blazers. He said that the 2 in blazers being higher profile would extend out into to stiffer parts of the whiskers causing more drag. Wouldn't 4 vanes cause more drag as well? Any opinions?

The problem with 4 fletch and the WB is that I don't think you'll be able to get the fletching clear of the lower black bristles. Those are the ones you've got to worry about hitting because they are stiffer than the surrounding bristles. Other than that I believe your thinking about drag is spot on. You're better off with the little bit higher profile. I've shot full helical Blazers through the WB a lot without an issue.
