We headed up and got 4 bear baits going today. It was really hot with high humidity so that part sucked but we had the whole spot to ourselves which is a big plus since it is all on public land. We used a base of honey roasted peanuts and praline pecans then put doughnut glaze, fruit snacks, marshmallow peeps, butterscotch crunch and circus peanuts on top. Looking forward to checking the cameras and seeing what we have. I also put a camera on a beaver damn behind one of the baits hoping to get a bear swimming in the pond since it is so hot. Here are a few pics of the day.

Don't you worry about the raccoons eating it all before the bear even find it?

no. very seldom see coons on a bait.

They were not bad in the morning but as it warmed up so did they. The deer flies were horrible right from the start.

The baits are all getting hit and some of them really good. I have been posting pics in the trail camera section.
