May also use some killzone maxx's. Figured those would hammer a turkey

NAP Gobbler Getters or Killzone Maxx. Defiently don't want to lose one if I put in the work to kill one with a bow...

Lost one last year using bullheads. Missed the head shot and hit him in the wing! :busted:

Definetly not the bullhead's fault, I missjudged the yardage and made a bad shot. If I had a rangefinder at the time I would've had a dead bird. He was a big gobbler too, probably a 10 inch beard, maybe a tad shorter.

Austin, about the 4 inch extension, why do you want the sight housing further from the riser, do you plan to target shoot

Where u from in Michigan? I always do the OTC hunt just cause then you have more time vs just a week. Never had a problem with birds shutting down getting later in the season.

Macomb Township. The first day of the OTC season the birds were on fire. Gobbling all over the place. That weekend was pretty decent too, had birds being pretty vocal. After that I didn't get to hunt for another week because of school and boy was it slow, I only a few gobbles the rest of the season after that good first week.

Hmm seems odd to me because 2 years ago I hunted all the way to the last day and it slowed down a little bit but where still pretty vocal in the mornings. Could just be having more birds in the area or something though. Not sure what would cause them to shut off like that

Not sure which broadhead I'm gonna use for the bearded birds. Probably just gonna use a Rage 2 blade.

I feel like the further from the riser my sight is the more acurate I am personly. even for deer hunting it just makes me that much more confident. And thats what counts right!!!!

just look up 4.0 sight extension for hha sights on ebay

I know what they are, was thinking of getting one for awhile. The only problem is the HHA sights are so hard to get aligned with the peep and putting it further will just make that housing smaller. Not to mention spread out you sight marks so you can't get out as far

Well my father decided to give up bowhunting and gave me his 2008 Diamond Marqius. Its a barely used bow and is pretty nice. Just found and ordered a 28" draw cam mod on eBay and ordered it. Can't wait to set it up and sling some sticks with it. It just may become my new primary bow.

When I say barely used I mean there is probably only 100-200 arrows shot through it. Its practically new really.

My bow I use now is a 2012 Bear Legion. Its a great bow but I have a feeling I might like this Marquis a tad better. We'll see when I get it all set up.
