Whats up guys. finally put a buck on the ground, my 3rd in 4 years and pretty much the same size as my first buck ever haha! This guy came out of the thicket at 7:20 and headed away from me but i gave him a few contact grunts and he turned around and headed right to me. While he was walking in i was thinking about letting him pass but he stopped at 22 yards broadside and i got to full draw on him (i practice on every deer that comes by) and being a full time college student and can only hunt saturdays i decided id shoot him and get some hotsticks to snack on while studying! i never even thought about shooting a deer like this last year because i too like to shoot mature deer but this year i said the first legal one that passed me was going home with me and i stuck with my word! I stuck him slightly quartering away about 2 inches behind the shoulder and stuck the NAP killzone in his opposite shoulder preventing my pass through. I hit lungs and clipped the top of the heart so it was an excellent shot. He bounded 30 yards and i heard him crash .. no need for a fearful track job! But take a look at that entrance hole guys.. these cut on contact Killzones are an unbelievable broadhead and i would recommend them to any hunter i know.. the first expandable that stays closed while traveling and in my quiver and gives devastating blows like the picture you see here. So all in all it was a fun hunt.. my good friend came down and helped me load him in the truck. Nothing like sharing the outdoors with your good friends! Though im glad i got a buck, i am slightly disappointed i didnt wait for something better to walk by especially considering how seriously i take the sport and how much work i put in, Oh well atleast i know what to do for next year! happy hunting guys

By the way im in that hunting contest on this forum but i didnt get my bow in the picture. I understand if it doesnt count because rules are rules but since there are no other deer seasons in that you can take a buck will it still be honored? If anyone can answer that for me itd be great. Thanks!

Congrats on your buck! I am shooting the same heads this year also. Sucks you didnt get the correct picks. Without them you wont be able to get points. Hopefully you get a doe so you can still get some points!

Nice job! I'm shooting the same heads this year.

Just curious as to what your setup is. Bow, draw weight/length, arrow type and length?

Nice job on buck. I am also shooting same head this year. I put a doe on the ground last week with a pass thru and the holes were amazing.
