I have a 5 pin sight, any recommandations on how i should set my pins up. Woill be shooting my first 3d event in then bowhunter freestyle division.

I was gunna go with 10 to 50 in 10 yrd incrimants.

Any info on 3d would help.

10 to 50 in 10 yard increments wouldn't work as your 10 and 20 yard pin have essentially the same path of trajectory.

Maybe try something like 20-30-40-45-50 or 20-30-35-40-45.

For us to really help you it would be helpful for us to know what your draw weight/arrow speed is...

For almost any 3D course you will not see a shot inside 20- there will be very only be a few inside 25. There are generally few targets where the range ends in "0."

As such, my general rule in regards to my 5 pin set ups is I sight in at 5 yard increments after the 2nd pin...25/35/40/45/50. That way you can be off a bit in your range estimation but it won't affect your shot placement as much. Arrows drop a lot after 35 yards...not so much between 20-35.

With that set up; I'm only 2" high at 20, 2 inches low at 30 with my first pin. If I mess up my range and shoot my 35 on a 30 yard target, I'm only 2-3" high.
