Hey gang, I am mostly a hunter by trade but I am looking to get more involved in target and 3D shoots. What type of setups do you guys use?

I have a target bow and a hunting bow. The target bow I use for spots and 3D is a Elite Tour. The hunting bow is an Elite Pure. Having said that I am going to try messing around with my Pure after the season to see if it performs better for me than the Tour.
The Tour is an unbelievable bow but the Pure seems to fit me better.
On the Tour, I have the CBE Quad Lite sight and a B-Stinger 27" front stabilizer with a 10" back. I adjust the weight accordingly throughout the season.

What type of rest do you use? I am tempted to go with a blade rest, but a lot of people seem to think I am crazy for even thinking about it.

You are not crazy or we both are crazy. I use a Trophy Taker rest with (I believe) a .10 Spring Steal tongue. Takes some getting used to. When I first started, I used my QAD HDX rest but I would just pull back really fast to the back wall. The TT Spring Steel has made me slow down and concentrate on my form more.

Hey! I'm looking to do the same deal. Just reset my pse bowmadness XS. New strings ext. I'm unsure what stabilizer to use. Can't seems to find any solid info on it. I must say I did put Matthews monkey tails on and golly. My bow is a fair bit quieter. I'm from Ontario up in canada and looking to do a few tourneys next season as it's time to hang my rugby cleats up... I'm only 25! Any other users from canada up to doing 3D?

I shoot the last league before hunting season here in Illinois with my hunting set up. This week starts the indoor spot league so I will be switching to my target bow.
