    I spent 36 days living out of a suitcase in Texas teaching a couple classes. Here's what it was like: Hot, humid, and hot.

    I spent a week there one night in corpses-Cristi on spring break.. love Texas women.

    Unfortunately, I was in Austin (the city of keeping it weird) half the time and McAllen the other half. In McAllen, I got to listen to some gun battles between gangs.

    I found nothing at all awesome about being approached by multiple panhandlers EVERY day. Also, didn't find the traffic to pleasing (1.5 hours to get 5 miles every evening).

    McAllen on the other hand (other than listening to the gun battles on both sides of the border) was pretty dang nice. The hotel treated us like royalty!
