Hey I'm about to get my firearms id card and pistol permit. I have fired and loved a 357 and love the way they look. But I also love the 40 glock. Id like to have everyone's opinion on which would be more fun to take to the range and practice. Thanks for reading! Also if you love a handgun besides these two inform me on your favorite one!

The 40 for sure. ( my opinion ). I shoot a Springfield xd9 ported and also this is my ccw. I love it. My next purchase will either be a Kimber or Wilson Combat in either 9mm or 45. Enjoy shooting and be safe..

I own several handguns, autos and wheel guns, but the one I always carry is my S&W mod 66 .357.

Personal preference. I love both of those calibers. I think a 357 is about as perfect and versitile as you can get in a handgun. But a 40 is a solid round & accurate/fun to shoot.
Seems though you will blow thru far more ammo using a 40 since the mag capacity is higher. Wheel guns slow you down, not that it's a bad thing.

I'd go with the .357, but both are good calibers.
