    Friday was opening day of IL shotgun season. I took my older brother to a stand and I went off to my hill stand. I was in the stand at 5:40 AM. And at 6:25 I looked to my right to catch the rack moving past me. He stopped at my scent wick and I fired away. Total miss so he runs off and I stop him with a grunt. He walked out broadside 50 yards and I shot. Crash, crash is all I could hear as he disappears into the thick stuff. I wait 30 the go check for blood. Purple jello all over the ground. Liver shot. I wait 3 hours and track him. 150 yards later here he is.
