5:15 p.m. on October 18th I was hanging in a small pinch point between two ravines that led from a small oak flat to a cornfield. The previous Saturday I had spotted this bear while hunting with my daughter we decided to leave the area as not spooked a bear and I returned after I worked all week to find a pile of bear scat for every night that I wasn't there. I had just got comfortable in the stand looked around and somehow the bear had covered the distance between me and the cornfield of about 200 yards and was already at 20 yards when I noticed him sitting on his butt scratching his face and lookin in my direction. I've been trying to kill a bear with my bow for the last decade. I managed to calm myself down draw my bow centered my pin on his chest right as I was about to let one fly he abruptly turned and started walking back down the way he had come, and like bears do put his nose in the air and abruptly turned and come right toward me! My heart was beating out of my chest harder than any Buck has ever done to me. At this time he's walked to the uphill side of the ravine opposite of me and was almost level with me in the tree stand. I redrew my bow waited for his leg to go forward and released. My arrow hit him in the lung only penetrating 10 in he let out a huge roar and tore up The path. I immediately started down my tree and took up the trail I quietly followed behind him and within 100 yards he was taking his last I watched speechless while he took his last breath only 5 yards away . He managed to die 80 yards from the truck. I was shooting the Kreature broadhead by Oz cut. It penetrated 10 in without deploying and stopped in one of his lungs and never made it to the other one again not deployed... I will add a photo of the lung.1
