I did my first 3-D shoot on Saturday. It was a great time. I will definitely being doing it more in the future.
Our last one of the season was this past Sunday. Our club has a very competitive group of shooters. Chance Beauboef shoots at ours, the owner of Bowfinger, owner of EnergyWave Strings, John Brawley of team Mathews and a few others. Chance was not there this past Sunday and we had a shoot for money. Top two spots got pay back and I fell out of money because of one target. After the heart attack I'm having trouble seeing up close and reading and I ranged the target at 53 yards and couldn't see well enough to set my tape on my HHA and set it at 33 yards. Shot under the belly and took a big X (0 points). Out of 2nd place by 3 points in the end. I've been shooting an HHA single pin for 2 years now and hit a few 3Ds in bad spots and buried a few new arrows into the brick wall at home due to forgetting to move my pin. I shoot it well but that was the last straw for me, I went out today and bought a multi pin IQ. Hate it too since I had $$ wrapped up in my HHA between the site and the lens kit.
sound like their are a lot of 3-d down their? where i'm at in pa they are only around about month befor hunting season which sucks
There's 4 to 5 every weekend from Jan thru Aug from me within driving distance. The local club that I'm most affiliated with has actual ASA tournaments with shooter of the year points, etc. I shot Novice all last year and shot K40 this year and that's when I got paired up with others and realized some of the big names around. I had no idea Chance Beauboef lived within a 5 wood shot from me.
