I followed the link and it worked fine. I'd say 3.5 is accurate. And he's a dandy at that too.

Good lookin buck Rizzo. Great potential. You plan on hunting him or letting him walk.

Went and checked the plots and put out some corn. Good plots are coming in really well and we had a few nice bucks on camera. Good little hunting hole for around town. Back to shooting the bow this afternoon.

For the properties around my home area, he is a good buck so YES I am planning on hunting him! It is not the easiest property to bow hunt. It is a 100 acres of crops with little to no trees. One side is bordered by county conservation property while the other sides are bordered by a landowner that patrols his property lines all of the time with his gators. Also, with the fields worked all the way to the property lines it makes it hard to brush in a ground blind. I have access to the property for archery hunting thru a buddy who has permission to hunt the property, but only gun hunts. Last struggle for this property is that the owner only wants me to bow hunt the property on weekdays when his kids are in school.

What do you have planted in your plots?

One plot is a mix brassica, clover, rape, winter rye and wheat. The other two are imperial clover and brassicas and winter peas. They are about 2 to 3 inches tall right now. This is my first year me and my buddy have done plots without my dad being involved and I'm pretty proud of them. We used a bobcat with the grabbing attachment to til up the ground and to rake the seed in with them since the tractor was out of commission with a hole in the radiator. I was so excited I forgot to take a pic but will next time.

Congrats on the successfully growing food plots! That is another area I have zero experience. Hope it works out well for you guys.

The neighbor riding around isn't to bad of a thing as long as he's consistent. It could work in your favor.
If its fenced can you use bailing wire to hold down the top strand to help funnel deer or find a spot they're using consistently. I'm sure you've thought of this.

I don't see my name on that ladder in the back ground. Must be lower under the brush line.

Alright boys, we're getting down to the wire. I've PM'd a couple members to double check that they're in the contest. If anybody else is considering not being able to continue let me know. I have till Monday to get an alternate I believe. Participation is key to having a good time and also having a chance to carry the bragging rights for the year.
It's gonna be hot and nasty for the season opening here so I probably won't get out for at least 2-3 weeks. Good luck all and don't forget to stir the pot in other team threads:lol:

Check my 3 cams today. No big bucks. Lots of does and a couple fork horns and a 3x2. Other than that looks exactly like the herd did last year. That's my ct hunting spot. When Ma season rolls around I have a couple honey holes I like to hit. Anything is possible there

Ok,so i'm getting old and after shooting the bow for a week straight everyday, i had to go get some cortisone shots this afternoon. That's not me saying that i'm giving up, just getting older and things hurt where i didn't know i had them when i was younger. I will take the afternoon off to sight in the rifle for the boy but will be back out at it again tomorrow. We got a new buck on camera but all i have is a pic of a pic so i will post once i get the real thing, seems like a pretty nice 10 point for around these parts.
