had a 6 point to round the day out..... those does were on top of me eating acorns for 45 minutes and I didn't get busted.....I was using them as bait. I had the 2 biggest and the one other one at 15, 12, 18, 20, 22, 17, 14, and 16 yards( yes, I keep a hunting journal) I also had the spike and 6 at 15, 20, 22, 17 and 18 broadside. So, if I can't get the 8 or 10 point in range with time to kill them I'm pretty sure by January 8th I cam at least kill a buck( but I would rather let them walk since I already have) But deer movement is good moment and I am going to get to hunt the new lease finally this weekend where this crazy bastard is still running around..... 37490.jpg I want him.... like really, really bad!!!

    Tripod...lol or Lucky?

If he hadn't lost his foot and was just a straight rack I bet he would score pretty good, but I really like the character of that other side.....

I forgot about the busted up 8 point( sorry to fill outhe thread up) he was a nice deer, I just didn't want to waste a tag on him. Our GA season runs until Jan 8th so I want to be sure to have a tag if something big comes walking out. It's going to happen guys, I just have a feeling that it will if I keep trying lol

My hunt got cut short. My Father in Law passed away. So I flew my wife home yesterday morning and I drove home today. Sorry you guys we had three very nice bucks coming in real regular. They will be bigger for next year.

It was just too dang windy today, I wound up getting down and sitting over the pond about 30 yards away since we are in a drought. I saw 4 turkeys but there is no fall turkey season here(would have been perfect for Thanksgiving) so I think I may have 1 more sit in me. Happy Thanksgiving guys!!

I might be done hunting till the end of December. It's peak season at work and I'm gonna be pulling 5- 12's. But I always enjoy late season hunts.

It's not even 12 and I'm already miserable. Made a breakfast casserole with venison sausage for my side of the family this morning. Good times!!!
