Had a hot doe followed by a buck but they were too far out. Not 100 yards away this was going on at my other stand. 37811.jpg All I can do is laugh.

Last evening of my rutcation. This have heated up the last 2 days. Two different bruisers have been spotted on their feet. Maybe tonight's my night.

If you killed him and you found him, why can't we use the points? You have it on video, you did recover him....

Well technically someone else went back a couple days later and found him via vultures and I never got two pictures with him and my bow.

If it works and we can use the points great. Just want to be up front and honest.

I'm going to try it again in the morning, I think the deer will be moving . Only takes about a minute to change my season and I'm trying to stay positive. Hope you guys are having some luck.

Shotgun season this weekend, then again 2 weeks later. Won't get out with a bow again until sometime in December. I have decided the only thing I'm shooting with a shotgun this year is a monster. I still need more meat in the freezer so I will still be very much in the game for my extra 50 points. Don't get discouraged yet Brad still plenty of season left.

I guess I'm just a gluten for punishment, I'm going back in the morning for round 437 to see if I can make it happen. Going to try something different tomorrow, I'm going for broke, I have a stand that's 20 yards outside of his bedding area that if I sit in and he's out of range it will be ruined. It will be 38 degrees with a NW wind that will be blowing in my face and with this moon he may just be cruising a lil later looking for this old girl...what do you ya'll think? 20161115_170258.jpg

There is a rumor floating around that I can use my bow as a approved weapon with my shotgun tags. I'm going to ask the local game warden if it's true. (Assuming I can find my shotgun tags) but if so depending on where I'm sitting I'll probably bring both. As long as I used my bow for the harvest it would still be legal correct?
