I know I haven't been very active in the thread as fast as updates go but I had a good hunt this evening in southern indiana. I was just about to chalk up 50 points for a doe and heard grunting behind her. ended up being a small 6 point. I let them walk and watched another decent 8 out of range running a doe as well. This evening has me fired up and I'm ready to get back in the stand in the morning. IT seems like things are heating up rut wise in my area. I know a lot of guys that have seen the chase taking effect.

He's definitely a different deer lol But I'm gonna put my time in to try and capitalize on himm..He's unique to sat the least. 3 legs, cool rack, about 30 minutes from the new typical and non typical world class bucks....I will take it lol

I'll have my kids figure out how to post it to YouTube or something. All I know is that it is in a micro ANd card from my tactacam! I'm not the most technologically savvy person.

Sounds like you boys are on them. I'm going to try to get out for an AM hunt this weekend.

I was covered up before daylight. Then the winds decided to change their mind and blew right towards a bedding area. Something started blowing but nothing ran off. Winds were crazy all day and it was supposed to be a steady wind from the N. Had one yearling doe circle around me and stop broadside about 30 yards out at around 8:00, but I let her walk hoping for more action today. Should've taken her. Then a 2 yo 5pt came in around 3 and never slowed down, didn't even respond to a grunt call. All I brought home was wind burn lol. Back at it tomorrow for another all day sit. Crazy wind forecasted tomorrow but flat. I put out some smokeys preorbital tonight and some doe in heat in the morn. Maybe something will happen. It ain't over yet.

Might not get to sit all day today. The little lady just texted and reminded me I owe her a night on the town.
It's been a good morning though. Bucks were moving all the way up till 11:30. Had 2 chances on a very nice 3 yo 8 pt. Would've been my biggest to date. But just couldn't pull it off.

That's so weird,,I'm leaving the stand right now because the girlfriend said the same thing. All except I didn't see a single deer. I'm starting to get frustrated. Keep it up on that 8 Jeep.

I have yet to get a real good look at a good buck on my rutcation, i have had chances at young ones and does but not what I'm looking for this week. I'll shoot a doe later with my bow for my 'bonus deer' if necessary. Keep at gents they are definitely chasing.

Going to try in the morning, probably one of the last sits I have for a while. If something gets in bow range it might be in trouble....

BIL called yesterday. He just gained permission to hunt 300 acres of private bottom ground, right in the middle of Green river WMA that is archery only.
Owner said the deer are eating him out of house and home and he has a lot of landowner tags he wants us to use. Nothing is off the table. My BIL said he went Thursday and saw 5 primo bucks. I guess I'm headed thier next week.
