Slow for me on my hunt. Cooled off, but haven't seen a deer while hunting from the stand since. Did see a decent 8 pointer today while hanging a stand. It's getting hot again here so I'm dropping down into the bottoms. Hope to see something other than squirrels.

Videoed a 9 pointer that I guessed at 3.5 yrs old. Guessing he was 120-125". Passed him at 31 yds. Where I'm hunting I'm going to have to pay people to help drag a buck out or just quarter it and pack it out. That would require also caping out the buck. Also had a young buck slowly chasing a doe.

I decided to go for it today in MN. High pressure has me tempted.

I'll keep you guys posted. If you can get out the next few days definitely go for it! :)

High pressure here as well. Came home today from South Central IL. Too dang hot for hunting. Up here in Northern IL it's 20 degrees cooler. I don't know how you Southern boys do it.

Well tried taking a nap tonight but can't sleep. Gonna get up, get showered and start sneaking in. Should be plenty of time for things to settle back down after I'm in stand. Lol.

Well, tomorrow is looking like it's going to be a good day to get in the woods. I'm going to head to a stand that's really close to a buck I've been saving all year to hunt. Maybe he will show up in the morning. Good luck to all you fellars out there.

This deer was killed tonight. I'd be happier for the guy if he wasn't the guy that shoots 1.5-2.5 year olds every year. But at least I will get to see him. Cool deer

Seen 2 fawns around 10 am. Took a couple :45 min naps around 1ish. Lol. Rained on me for :45 at 3:15 then at 6 a big doe jumped out of the brush. I was down wind and she turned and went back the way she came. I was kinda trying to figure what happened. She didn't smell me, or see me. Then a big boy jumped out at the same spot chasing her. Very tall 10pt. He stood for a second at 40 yards then followed her the opposite direction to about 60. I got my grunt call out and stopped him. But he just stood there for 10min. In some
thick brush, all I could see was one side of his rack. I waited and tried to call once more but he was more intuned to her calls I believe.

It's on Boys. This cold snap is what we've been waiting for. I won't be out till next week. Go get em.

I'm gonna try this morning. My cams didn't show a single deer last night, that's weird but maybe it means I'm gonna see them all this morning.

It was supposed to be colder this morning. 47 degrees here when I woke up. Haven't been seeing much, have to try any way. Going to Ohio today for the weekend, hopefully the action is better there. Good luck folks.

Oh, and nice bucks guys, congrats! It's funny I looked at your score the other day and thought "these guys better drop some bucks the other teams are catching up", then I came to the thread and see some of you did just that :) .

In my stand. Warmer than I'd prefer but who knows. Slow morning plenty of noise in the dark but nothing since. About 8:30 am now. Hope some deer decide to take a mid day stroll through these oaks.
