Skunked again!! Man I haven't seen much activity for 3 weeks. October lull? Took a leak 35 yards from my stand. I never do this but nature called! Wouldn't you know the only buck I've had come in all year walked right up to it and started grunting and blowing then he took off. I even buried it. Then as I was leaving there were several deer about 50 yards from my other stand. Lol. What a night. Anyways. Going out as much as possible before nov 6. After that I can't make it out before dark after work anymore. So it'll just be weekend sits.

That stinks man, keep your head up, it will all fall together one of these times. I know the feeling right now and that's what I'm telling myself.

Tell me about it! 80's all week again when I'm off. Next week is in the 60's though. Hope they're not locked down by then.

I was just messing with you. You are just north of me and i still think it's pre-rut here, maybe they will hold off on the lockdown until then for you. I'm going to try again in the morning and after that it will be only weekend hunts for me from a while. Good Luck Jeep, i have a feeling Rizzo is putting it on them right now!!!!

Looks like you gotta a rough boy on your hands. Might be good to shank him anyways if he is aggressive. Might get more bucks on your property next year.

The guy who has gotten all the pictures of him and I have already decided to pass him now. His home range is not my property anyways so that doesn't really apply to me personally. He will be bigger next year at 5.5. Good genes to let breed too. There are other bucks in the area that I might get lucky enough to see, that one just had the closest home range that I knew about. Won't stop me from hunting though.

Thanks for the kind words guys - just getting back online after a long weekend of hunting. Lots of good encounters in MN but decided to do a quick WI hunt yesterday. Got it done on a solid 8 point. He won't score a ton but it was a great hunt and both of my close friends were hunting nearby to help with recovery and drag!

Congrats to others who scored as well! Keep shooting does -- if we all shoot a doe we win! :) And maybe a few bucks too! LOL!

I'm going back to MN this week sometime i'll keep you guys posted!
