I saw 2 about the same distance as Kyle. It was too dark too make out what they were. I was packing up to climb down just after legal shooting time. Was first hunt on friends property. It is a 10 acre marsh surrounded by lots and lots of crops with some surrounding trees. Have only killed one buck on this property, but also chased a buck that grossed 184" by a poacher. Problem is that once the crops are gone so are the deer cause it is in the middle of all of the crops. Good news, buddy says only 10% of neighboring corn has been picked so far so I still have some time to hit this property again when the winds are right.

I'm working OT Tuesday. So I'm planning on my first sit being Thursday afternoon. I'm gonna sneak in mid afternoon if the wind is right and sit a new stand.

Fitz just updated the card and we are still in 1st at the moment but that Team 5 has some guys who can put them down also. Good luck on your first sit Jeep , not sure the next time I will be getting out.

Change in plans, it's gonna be 40 degrees here in the morning with N wind, so I think I will hit the tree. Can't pass that up.

My next sit will be on the 22nd of October. I will be hunting at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond Kentucky. It is my favorite hunt of the year as I have been drawn the last 4 years due to me being active duty military. If not, it is almost impossible to get drawn for that hunt. I will be allowed to take a second buck for the year (won't count for our contest) or a doe for 50 points!! Keep it up y'all. Let's get back on a roll!!

Get it done Jeep, best of luck to you killer, the temp was 45 here this morning and I should have been in the stand I just have some personal things going on where I couldn't. But if all that plays out well this afternoon with lawyers and stuff, I plan on hitting the tree in the morning.

Good morning team! I wanted to get out with this front but work and life have filled my week. I'm headed to packer country today for a meeting but then should be my last bit of travel for a while.

Last night and today look awesome! Hope you guys got a chance to get out! Looking at long range forecast next Wednesday or Thursday are looking really good.

Good luck everyone - stay safe!

Well, it was a bust today. But it was gorgeous in the woods. Got in and set up like a ninja.:ninja: Bout that time bunch of coon hunters and their dogs come busting through. My guess is that it wasn't there first trip through today. What the heck they were doing in the middle of the day, I have No idea. Thats a group that has a different mentality when it comes to property boundaries. Anyway, didn't figure i would see anything, and i was right, nothing was moving, not even a squirrel. That spot I believe is gonna killer in a few weeks with a northerly wind. But I enjoyed myself and had a relaxing cool evening.

Got my bow strap done also. Worked beautifully. Don't look to bad either.

Ok men. About to head out shortly. I'll do a morning sit and then a little OTG action around noon. Just so I can cruise by my peak season stands and check for sign.

Well I don't think there is an October lull going on at my Papaws. I went from having 2 to 3 bucks to pulling the card and I have over 10 bucks now. Some are just spikes and that small 6 I let walk, but I have bucks moving in and checking that mock scrape out. The 10 point was under my stand at 8:00 this morning:/ ohh well, I just need him to mess up one time like that with me in the stand.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.I have been following though. My bow hunt here in Utah ended the middle of September. But at Thanksgiving I have family in the Midwest I hunt with on the family farm. It will be with my crossbow. I have a cousin that is handicapped so I bought the same crossbow he has and we compare notes and to be honest there fun to shoot. He puts a lot of work in setting up cameras and stands for us. I have a lot of fun hunting with him out there. Then after that I have a late season cow elk tag but that doesn't help for the contest. I think an elk taken with a bow should at least count for 50 points:confused:
Anyway I have been duck hunting to feel in the time tell I can go after big game again

Hunted this AM. Finally saw a deer from stand again! First one since opening day. A doe out about 100 yds on neighbors property. Also videoed about 20 turkeys that came by.
