Done with work today by around 1:00. Gonna take another shower and hit the woods. Been on crutches since Tuesday AM for a foot issue that I caused Monday night cleaning the basement out with out shoes. I have a high arch so I angered some tendons/ligaments in my foot. As long as I can get my boots on I'll be out there! Have to with this cold front that is passing thru!!

Been in stand since 5:30. Nothing yet. Usually a little action here pretty soon. We'll see. I'll do a card pull when I climb down. Maybe sit in my rut spot if i have some good daytime pics.

No deer this morning, I'm gonna check cameras myself and get ready to go get children.

Learned today that I've got OT coming up next week. We'll see how it plays out, I don't know what days I'm supposed to work yet. I also talked to the landowner the other day when I dropped off some firewood. He asked me to haul some more from his friends property. I wanna get that down before the weather gets nice and I want to hunt full time. Looks like the hurricane is gonna push some warm weather up here next week anyways.

I also spent a couple hours last night tying/braiding up my bow strap from paracord. I used the Nite Ize gear ties to create a loop on my bows riser to attach to. So far it looks good when I get it finished I'll post it up.

In stand. Had a helluva time getting my boot on, but made it. Forecasted NW wind is kinda swirly right now, but still feel confident in my setup. Now if the deer will just follow the script!

I got all the way to my stand, sat about 20 minutes and realized I left my wallet at home. No license or tags. Public land. Quickly got out of the stand and left. That's what I get for sleeping late lol I do the dumbest things sometimes.

The one thing I like about GA now is they have an app that you can download that has all your information on it. Now your drivers license no, but the other you could have proved. And I used it to check in my kill 5 minutes after she was dead.

Sorry about your luck after fighting the foot problem, I can empathize. I have Mrsa in my foot from a 20 penny nail when I was 21, I'm 37 almost now, so I know how bad that can suck to fight through the pain to get to the stand and see squat. Maybe next time will be better man.

Better days are ahead! Just had high hopes for last evening and this evening. As a healthcare workers for the past 16-17 years, I am probably also a MRSA carrier. That's is not an infection to mess around with. Glad to hear that you are still here and have your foot!

Did an evening sit. Had a deer come by around 75 yards. It cruised through some thick brush. Couldn't tell what it was. It was huge though!
