This season is going to be a tough one for me. I am an occupational therapist (think physical therapist for your arms). I have a student to train from 8/29-11/18 so hunting will be really limited this year, but I do have one week planned to bow hunt some public land that gets pounded pretty heavy here in Hellinois. I am 41, married 17 yrs and have 2 children. Weekends are typically limited to evening hunts as my wife works Sat/Sun mornings. With all of that, I now have to hunt much smarter than I used to when I would hunt every chance I got. By hunting smarter I have to admit, my success rate has increased! I'm not burning out stands and entire properties like I did in my past.

This team looks like the most diverse that I have been part of in the past. We have hunters spread out across the country (except the West). I've never had teammates from the NE. Will be interesting to see how everyone's season unfolds...especially the rut activity.

Some of those pics I got from my neighbors but when rut comes they will will be all over. It's a lot easier to get pictures than get over top of them though lol I'm trying something new this year as usually I just hunt the cold fronts untill then end of October and then hit it hard the first couple weeks of November. My property is about 45 min away from where I live and in the wrong direction for work but there is some public land not to far from my house that I'm going to try out this year for early season. Still looking for my first good buck with a bow. Where you from rizzo I hunt white side county

Everyone have doe tags? It's all about getting an early season doe in the freezer and on the scoreboard!

Sorry everybody, I saw the message from Bradn4201. (Thanks)

I Hunt elk and deer in Utah where I live. I have family in Kansas that I hunt with at Thanksgiving. The bow hunt here opens this Saturday so hopefully I can connect and help out the team.

Yeah I try to take a doe early every year. Between Ohio and PA I have had one the first week the last few years, but you never know.

Season starts Sept. 3rd, but I usually don't get out until it cools off some. Just in case I have to let one sit over night, and I'm not sweating over the few stands I have.
I also started a new job so I don't have any vacation time this year to hunt. I do though have three day weekends, so thats a plus.

I don't think elk count as a deer lol I'd still look at your pics though

Everybody's signed in, lets choose a Capt. and Name.

To all that haven't played before make sure you read the rules all the way through. If you have a problem with taking 2 PICTURES with your trophies speak up now. Points won't count if you don't post the way the rules outline.

I don't really get on here as much as I'd like so I can't be captain.
