Dang boys, Y'all still got a 140 point lead. This team is smoking. Y'all gonna run this thing like Spurriers Gators. Kick their butt then jam it down their throat. LOL. Good job y'all.

Best thing you can do is take your dog and go to the house( that means get off our LEADER board thread) ;)

Hope you guys aren't tired of me posting... I have a different wind tomorrow so I'm going to hunt a different stand I've never hunted before. It's been hanging all year in anticipation of this wind direction. Maybe all will go well and if not I will still be in the woods.

No issues with you or the rest of the team posting daily updates. During the week I am living the hunt thru you guys. Hoping to make it out Friday and Saturday evening next. No weekdays for me while I have a student following me until November 18th (except the week of Halloween when I'll be living in a trailer on public land).

Blackmwhite Good to see you. I believe we still have a full active team which is great. Gives a great advantage. Posting on here about anything is what it's about. So lay it on.
I have a small property to hunt, so if it ain't right I try to stay out till it is. Maybe, I should look at some public land to help spread myself out.

I got moved to 3rd shift this week so that's going to limit my hunting a little. But we will see jus this much I think I can still pull some afternoon hunts once the days get shorter and I still have my vacation so I'm not worried. I pry won't get out again for a week and a half unless we get a good cold front though, keep it coming folks!!!

I looked into public land this year for the first time because I noticed a big difference in rut buck sightings on my private land when I backed off the earlier weeks. It was just a pain not hunting until around Halloween so I found a way around it. I did a lot of scouting this spring and summer which was a lot of fun and there is still more to see. I'll pry do more next year.

I set up my ground blind last weekend. Never bowhunted whitetail from a blind before. I tried to brush it in some to hopefully break up the roof outline. Anybody have any experience with this? Think I'm good? ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1475576558.478494.jpg

I use one for me and the boy. I would chop down some more saplings and lay across the top. but it looks good.

I got in the tree without busting anything out. Just waiting on the sun to come up.

Had 3 does come in from the bottom and a buck out to 75 yards downwind. I don't think he smelled me, just wasn't the way he was going this morning. I saw antlers and it is thick, too thick to see if he was shootable.

Illinois guys, don't forget to wear blaze orange out this weekend if you're bow hunting. It is youth gun deer weekend and we have to wear at least an orange vest...not sure about a hat? Neighbor got cited for it a couple year ago.

Well, I wound up seeing 12-13 deer and let them all walk. I had a button come in bleating and then grunting and just carrying on. I bleated and grunted back at him and he was all flustered because he couldn't find where the deer was lol I moved another stand and I'm done for the day.
