Just watched this week's BHOD show also. Big doe!

I've got to get out to WY with Decroo someday. That's more deer than I see in 2-3 years combined!

Good luck to all you fellars out tomorrow. My Papaws land I hunt will not be good with the wind tomorrow so I will hold off until Sunday and I have a Lil cheerleader who wants me to watch her in the morning and that takes priority over any buck. I hope you guys lay them down because they had a guy on the other team that put down a 165 class buck and I think we are about to lose our lead. Shoot straight and be safe fellars, wear your safety harnesses and have fun.

Got skunked, a pretty crazy amount of people were there for the opener so I'm thinking the deer I was planning on catching coming from food got pushed off. Try again this afternoon

Sitting 150 yds downwind of a river about 20 yds inside timber. Have a fresh picked cornfield another 100-150 yds past the edge of the timber. Don't have permission to hunt any closer to the cornfield than the edge of timber. Very little sign on way in (one set of old tracks). Still beats being at home or work!

I'm gonna go have church service in the tree in the morning. Temps and wind should be good.

No deer for me today, lots of mosquitoes though lol no idea when I'll get back out depends on weather, can't go next weekend so could very likely be two weeks

Thank God for the Thermocell! Skeeters were really bad. Left it at the truck, but walked back to get it after about a 50 yd walk. Saw a doe and 2 fawns. Closest they got was 58 yds. Successful opening day for around here for me! Even though it is against my early season beliefs, I'm hunting in the AM and then straight to church to serve Communion. Good luck!

Good luck this morning rizzo, I have a good feeling about this spot I'm headed to today and I don't think any concrete trucks will be working on Sunday lol Or I at least hope not. Might even shoot a doe if she stands there too long and doesn't have a fawn with her but we will just wait and see what happens.

Slow here this AM. One squirrel and hundreds of geese. No deer yet. Missed your church service in tree comment Brad. I'd prefer to do it from the tree! Good luck everyone!

For any of you guys running mock scrapes, when do you start putting doe in heat in them instead of just the power scrape or regular pee?
