Gonna have the right wind and coolest temps so far this fall in the morning. We got a little rain this afternoon so I think things will be great for in the morning. Going to setup about 100 +yards outside of where they come down the trail after coming out of the bedding area. Hopefully all the stars align and the new horoscopes and whatever else to make it a good morning.

Not as cool as they said and the wind is wrong, had to make some last minute adjustments but I had a stand hung just for this reason. Let's see if we can see some antlers this morning.

I don't want to jinx us...but what does the winning team usually win? Obviously bragging rights but I also thought there was some sort of prize package???

Lol! That would be sweet! Three more full days of work and then finally into a treestand. The areas I hunt around home are not productive with deer in the AMs until later in Oct so I'll be heading out in the PM only on opening day. You guys set the bar high for us guys who haven't even hunted yet. Pending on weather and wind direction, I might take my 8 yr old out with me and setup the Bone Collector blind.

The temps actually dropped this morning and I should be in the stand but I had prior obligations. I sat yesterday and had a doe with a fawn and a little 7 or 8 point come in that I could have shot but I was waiting on 2 other bucks. On the way out I saw a new deer I haven't seen before, he was at least an 8 but maybe better, he saw or smelled me from the far end of the field and took two leaps and was was gone. I checked all the cameras and he wasn't on it so I don't know if he was coming up to my mock scrape or just browsing through the food plots. kinda funny, because I usually know all the deer that are on Papaws farm. Not complaining, was just kinda weird to have a new deer show up this early.
