    It's 5:00PM, 79°, wind NNW. I kicked out 2 deer as I was coming to the tree. The property owner says he sees a doe every evening almost walking the ridge line and sometimes coming into the yard.
    The wait is on!

    While I was just siting and waiting this little feller came to visit. He was no more than 6' away. Then he jumped in the tree above my head.

    At 7:15 PM there was a gunshot at the other end of the subdivision. Deer must be moving, just not my way.

    At 8:15 2 fawns came burning through at about 35 yards. I stood for the doe but either the property owners out on the deck or my ThermaCell clanked and spooked her. She walked off back the way she came. I used a fawn can to try to bleat her back but she was having no part of it.
