    Zinks, that is awesome.

Ranks up there with some wanna "axe" you a question.

I never understood where some folks around here managed to add an R to "wash". Gonna "warsh" the car.

With "axe" in that context you're delving into Ebonics. Now with "warsh" you're hitting close to the way folks talk where I grew up.

I remember the first words I heard my ex-father-in-law say when I met him. The two words were "yun's et?"

I had to actually pause and consider what he could have meant. It took me around 15 seconds to figure put that he was asking if we (his daughter and I) had eaten yet.

    That's something you don't forget. :D

I think it all depends on what or who I'm talking to as to how I say it. Except the wife slapping thing or bubbler, never heard either.

Funny someone brought up zink tho, my grandpa says that all the time.

da, dat, dem and dese for the, that, them and these.

warsh for wash. I use to be bad for this when I was young.

Shut on the light for turn on the light. Or shut on a switch. You only shut off a light or switch. shut on drives me crazy.

Okie dok or okie dokey instead of OK... I am bad for this.

It's crayfish. Only hicks and red necks say it the other ways.

    It's pop not soda.

    It's a water fountain here.

    slough shark for northern pike.

Up here a bubbler is a water dispenser that takes the big jugs of water that bubble when you use them. If your calling something with actual plumbing a bubbler your retarded.

It doesn't matter what flavor it is you are drinking, it's a coke. Soda, pop, and any other derivative should have stayed in the 1950's where they belong.
