Already started! Aug 15th here in south carolina. However I usually wait to kill a buck until I get back to my property in ohio. Big bucks bred down there

Well hot damn it's a small world. The property I hunt is attached to the rankin house property in ripley. I've got a few pictures of some good bucks! Im moving back to ripley area when I retire which is in 9 years. I am active duty still so that keeps me out of ohio but it's always home and I'll plant my roots back there soon. Can't wait to hunt there this year!

Season starts Oct 1st in MI. Finally going to get to check cameras on Saturday after having them in the woods for about a month. Also we will see how our Throw and Grow plots along out ditch have come up. Will post pics when we get back.

I went and checked cameras yesterday afternoon after work and was very happy to see a deer show up that I hadn't seen yet. Going into this season I had a deer in mind that I have quite a bit of history with that until yesterday I wasn't sure if he survived the big flood from last winter. He's not a high scoring deer, but he's 5.5 and I have a really good idea of what he does and hope I can get a shot early season.

    Does Only!!!

Good to see somebody has bucks on the cameras still don't have any showing up yet but doesn't mean they want. Its only a matter of time. I have got does galore mature does at that so I'm content that once the magic starts to happen its game on. THIS HEAT IS KILLING ME! I've got so many pictures of good bucks and nothing before 9pm! It's driving me crazy I've been in the stand about 4 days a week sometimes morning and evening and nothing is coming out in the heat. I need to sling an arrow already! Anyone else having a similar issue?

Our season doesn't open til later next week, so I'll see then. I'm hoping this next week is our last round of hot days and then maybe it will cool down a little.

Oct 1st is right around the corner I need to get some walk way brush hogged and mowed at the new spot for easier access to the stand so that's on the agenda for this week and weekend it's pretty thick in there. I'm pretty sure the bucks will start showing up on my cameras come mid to late Oct well into the Rut and late season. It's only a matter of time before things start heating up. Also been shooting my bow alot and messing with broadheads tryna see what I wanna use but I'm pretty sold on slick trick razor tricks or any 100 gn slick trick for that matter I'm considering a mechanical but it's not a first option anymore.

I used the slick trick standards with my compound the last couple of years and they performed flawlessly. Every deer I shot last year fell in sight. The penetration was excellent and they were very easy to tune. My wife is shooting them now. I don't see her switching anytime soon.

Great heads that's for sure we'll here's the thing since they don't make razor tricks anymore it's hard to get new ones or replacement blades except on ebay so I will be going with the viper trick which is the newer version.

I've been slammed at work, but if I get a free moment tonight I'll try to come up with something.
