No sense in waiting buddy the time is now it really is like learning archery all over again and there definitely is no cutting corners imo .I've been shooting that Grizzly since March and I'm just now getting to where my groups are getting tighter my form I just try to do the same thing every time I pull back and release anchor Point is key for me as with any archery equipment but no let off there is a lot to remember but everything is all simple techniques and repetition. It's definitely takin some time and any trad shooter will tell u that no matter how long you shoot trad ur always critiquing and learning new ways to be better at it. I really enjoy shooting my recurve and that's a big thing u have to tune in to it. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Form is definitely key to being a good shot with trad. Every shot has to be the same or the results are not good. It just takes a lot of practice. For a compound I would liken it to shooting 60 plus yards on form. If the smallest thing is off it can be disastrous. I struggled pretty heavily until the last month or so, but when it finally clicks its awesome.
Dang Buckeye! Nice bucks! I was on a lease in southwest OH a few years ago. We had a few giants also. Came close but never connected. I shoot a Hoyt Maxxis. I'm good with 21 jump string
I'm shooting a 2013 mission ballistic. Keep saying I'm going to upgrade, but then I think about elk! Lol. I'll gladly continue to shoot this bow and go out west with the money I save! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm good with whatever name you guys want to go with. I'm shooting a Pearson Atlas this year. What have you been up to, Soggy? I'm moving to Pursuit next year....52 weeks.
I'm good with 21 jump string as well. I'll be shooting a Hoyt Carbon Matrix. I haven't found a reason to upgrade as of yet.
Well now that we pretty much all went with a name, we just need to find a fearless leader. I guess a feared leader works too if you have nominations for that instead.
I've Messaged in da woods, to see if we can get him to respond. If not we can ask for an alt. And yes those are some great bucks, would love to have at least 1 running around my woods.
I think Evilstuff is all over it. Sounds like captain material to me. Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
Anyone Film? Who else films their hunts besides me and Derek? The link below is one of our hunts from Central Michigan Dan Farwell 2014 buck.mp4 - Google Drive
I'm hoping to film this year. Have basic camera and an old camera arm. If I can get a few kills under my belt, I'll begin and plead with the wife to upgrade something next year. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
I film my hunts, I have a tactacam and a G30, yet to kill any animals besides carp on camera... hoping to change that this year with an elk hunt in MT and two deer in MN!
My pal and filming partner hunt his family farm in Farwell (just south of Clare). The area isn't known for big bucks but we always look forward to hunting up there. Our main property is in Barry county.
I bought a filming setup this past year. Looking to film for me and my friend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
