been out in the stand a couple of days and nothing. Bummin. Everyone keep talkin about deer chasing etc, but nothing on the property by me. Unforunately, I will only be able to hunt maybe Wed evening, gun season starts this Sat. that will really put a damper on bowhunting.
Hunted the past 4 days with no shooters seen. Only small bucks searching and chasing. Seems we are in the peak of lock down right now. Going to take a couple days off to catch up on work and will be back out this weekend.
I connected on a buck in Illinois this morning so I can add another 50 points to the team. He's a 6-pointer so he wouldn't score well anyways so just as well he be the bonus buck. He is a mature buck though. He showed up on cameras about a month ago and since then, all of our better-racked bucks have disappeared. So, I took one for the team (ie. my lease partners) so the big ones will hopefully show back up...maybe they will this weekend for gun season and I'll cash in on one.
Great buck! I filled my buck tag in gun season, but I will be hunting hard the rest of the year putting down as many does as I have tags for!
Well no luck for me so far this season. It is currently firearm season in Michigan, so hunting hard for any meat right now. Still have 2 buck tags and a doe tag. If I don't have anything down come December, I will be back in the stand with my bow. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

I'll be hunting the next three days also. Cold front coming in tomorrow morning with high winds.... I have a couple spots low in between ridges that I plan on hunting. Should keep me somewhat out of the wind and hoping the deer think the same.
Well I finally came home after 3 weeks of hunting in Kansas. The weather was super warm and as you probably guessed the deer were only moving the first 2 or 3 hours in the morning and the last hour in the evenings. I saw quite a few bucks and passed a few good bucks. I managed to tag a buck on the evening before my last day. I passed this deer 2 times before waiting for a something bigger. He broke the end of his main beam since the last time I saw him but I couldn't pass him again. I just gave him a short grunt and he turned and came straight to me. I made a perfect heart shot and he only ran 30 yards before going down. He grossed 153 2/8. Good Luck everyone still hunting.

Slow start to my season but I think things will turn around within the week I will be out thanksgiving morning but work has me scratching just to make it out in the evenings I'm up at 4 a.m. to get in the truck the next 2 days then off around 3:00 so it's been tough no sightings over the weekend sits. Nice Bucks guys!! I just got back from 10 days in the Kentucky woods with a rifle. Had a chance at a 130" but we've seen 3-4 other bucks that were bigger. My buddy shot a great buck. I was as pumped as he was since it was off my new property.
