Well I was gonna wait to go back out at this spot on Halloween but I think it will be well worth it to hunt in the morning so I will be in the stand as early as 5 o'clock. The big 8 hasn't been around since the 17th and to my surprise it was at the same time of the morning as last not sure what it means but very interesting.

On the other hand the big 9 showed up this morning and he just looks bigger than the 8 point all around again I would definitely like to see the both with my own eyes at least once this season but
[IMG][IMG][IMG]I will be in the stand early for all the right reasons rattling antlers in hand. They have got to be close and my best guess is that they will be checkin for does soon and I'll have a front row seat!!!!

Well I tried again guys! another doe ducked my arrow. This time at 28 yards and this time my shot was perfect for a heart shot but she dropped and turned far enough that I hit the very top of her shoulder blade and got about and inch of penetration. We looked the next day but the blood ran out after 50 yds and the film from bother cameras looked like a shoulder blade and that she wasn't going to die. I feel bad, and I am a littel shaken on how I am going to get on on the ground! may have to start holding for a low heart shot...

Saw another big guy on his feet, got film again but he was far away and never broadside...

Congrats to those of you who are having success! If you have any extra throw some my way :)

oh man! nice bux there boys. This is driving me absolutely nuts. I'm so close to getting healed up. I just went to limited duty status so I'm healing up but not fast enough for my liking. If I only had another week before November arrives.
I'm planning on buying a new bow this week just to put me under a little pressure to be ready for late next week or early 2nd week of Nov.
I have no idea what has been happening on the property so hoping to get out there this week sometime for a look see.

Do you guys think it's too late for trim some trails and putting up camera?

Good luck to everyone out there. Hope to contribute soon.

We have a very high deer density, I have seen over 100 so far this year but only 2 shooters

I just watched a guy who got a new bow sighted it in hung the stands got in the stand hunting and shot a great buck all in the same day don't know what his odds were but I'd say if you need to do it it do it if you already have stands out that's even better but your question is a good 1 because the deer are up on there feet moving that's a fact I would do it on a good windy day and hope for the best good luck if u do pull the trigger on a new rig that's also always a plus in most cases!!!

Well guys it's about time for me to head to the woods again I'm praying that my shooter bucks are still on the hoof and I'm able to get an arrow in 1 of them black powder started last Saturday which is not so bad plus I don't think anybody is hunting as hard as I am in the general area but who knows I will be out every morning in various locations but I will be focusing most of my efforts towards where I'm getting good bucks at. Just waiting on that shift from dark to daylight movement so hopefully the cards will show a bit of that I'm not really sure how cool it will be but I'm guessing lows around mid 50s highs around mid 70s or so typical for this time of year but I'm hoping it all works out. There has been some good bucks hitting the ground guys time for us to score big!!!

Perfect day tomorrow to take a vacation day. High pressure (30.37), cool temps and perfect NW wind. Warm front coming in early Saturday morning.

I wish we would have those kind of temps here this weekend. It's supposed to get into the 80s. Maybe I can run one down to the point of heat exhaustion.

Pulled a card and seen this guy on there, got a lot of character with that small point curling up. Def hanging out in the same area and scraping ALOT!
