nothing worth bragging over but its a start and definitely the earliest I have ever seen a buck at the ridge I'm still working learning with my camera placement etc but I'm glad to see one show up I'm pretty certain this young buck will most likely be pushed out come the rut but maybe we will see him in action soon again. in the last pic it also appears that that old rub has been made into a new rub but it may just be the way the photo took and time of day.

Smoked a buck tonight boys and girls, I'll get him scored and turn in the points. Nothing massive but at least we are on the board

The second buck will only count for 50 points even if it's bigger than your first one.

1 week here. Temps are in the 50s this morning, and I can't wait to be in stand.

Not saying that he shouldn't put in the scorecard at all but is it a rule that the first but he kills he has to put it in the scorecard or is it the first buck you score and upload to the scorecard by all means we wanna follow the rules but I just wanna be sure. I know in the past I've always put the first buck I killed in the scorecard but is there a rule that says you can't kill another buck and then score that as ur primary buck and not ur bonus? I'm going to review the rules just in case

Ok i see it now in big black bold letters so yeah with that being said this will definitely make a person think about what he shoots contest wize but imo if u like it shoot it I read Shawn's story and I honestly would have probably shot the buck too after missing the hitlister heat of the moment redemption etc maybe he will get another Crack at the one he was after and be able to post his bonus score on top of what his buck scores that would be nice!!!!

Back from my mule deer hunt in Colorado. It was a bust. It was in the mid 80s most of the week. The buck I was after, the mid-170 class, went M.I.A for 3 weeks before I got there so we didn't see any point in sitting over the waterhole. Glassed for the first two days looking for another target but checked the camera every afternoon hoping he'd show back up. He did the second morning and I hunted the waterhole for the next 4 days. He never came back. I could've killed a couple young bucks but never drew my bow. The last day we glassed from the top of the mountain looking for a buck to go after. We spotted a decent 5x4 that would probably have gone 150. We got to 80 yards but the wind shifted and he busted us. That was it. Good experience for my first mule deer hunt and I look forward to doing it again. On to whitetails.

Yea it's the first buck and the one I killed is the one being submitted I haven't gotten my score card printed yet and my tape measure is at work so it's taken me longer to get it scored. I'll be adding him shortly to the scorecard

I am back from the elk hunt, we saw and heard lots of bulls and had 4-5 within 40 yards. One guy from our group shot a bull but hit high and never found him. Was a great experience!

Nice work! Can't wait for Saturday. Temps have been in the 50s in the mornings, Hope for some good weather, and a nice buck to walk by. Always tell myself i'm going to wait on a shooting a doe, but that never happens. so we shall see. If a fat, mature doe walks by she may get an arrow.

I was planning on going hunting this evening, but I'm going to a chiropractor instead. I have another doctor appointment in the morning, but should be able to get out tomorrow evening. Hopefully nothing changes to screw it up.
